Obama to Take Executive Action on Banning Weapons

A lot has been happening on the gun control front over the last few days. The Democratic leadership has decided that the Second Amendment is “antiquated”. About as antiquated as those pesky First, Fourth and Fifth Amendments.

“My understanding is the vice president’s going to provide a range of steps that we can take to reduce gun violence,” said Obama. “Some of them will require legislation, some of them I can accomplish through executive action. And so I will be reviewing those today, and as I said, I will speak in more detail to what we’re going to go ahead and propose later in the week. But I’m confident that there are some steps that we can take that don’t require legislation and that are within my authority as president, and where you get a step that, has the opportunity to reduce the possibility of gun violence, then i want to go ahead and take it.”

I know, how about we make it illegal to take a gun into a school? Better yet, how about we make murder illegal?

Chuck Schumer (D-NY) aka “Chucky” (seen above with the Bride of Chucky, Lianne Feinstein) proposed this idea:

… retailers that sell assault weapons should stop offering them for purchase while Congress discusses gun regulation legislation.

Stop! You’re not helping us control the guns!

Schumer says Congress is debating the issue, and if measures get passed that limit these type of weapons, it won’t help if more of them have recently been sold.

In other words, it will make it harder for the Federal government to confiscate so many weapons.

Reverend Jesse Jackson wants to gun manufacturers to be held responsible for each murder committed by a gun.


Jessie Jackson is good like that. After all, he extorted a beer distributorship for his son from Anheuser-Busch because they did not have enough black distributorship owners.

There has been no response if he wants knife manufacturers, baseball manufacturers, machete manufacturers, tool manufacturers, bow manufacturers, and auto manufacturers would be on the same liability hook.

Piers Morgan keeps coming up with new material. On Sunday, he tweeted this:

America has over 5000 nuclear warheads. Quite hard to defend against a ‘tyrannical U.S. government’ with that kind of firepower. 

Forget rebelling and trying to overthrow your “tyrannical” government. If you rebel, they’ll just nuke you.

And finally, Chicago, with the toughest gun laws in the nation, has had 22 people killed in the last 11 days, with firearms. New York is poised to become the new Chicago, if Governor Andrew Cuomo gets his way.

Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God! I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty or give me death!
