Obamacare: Doctors Scheduling Group Appointments

Doctors, in order to deal with the looming shortage, have taken to scheduling group appointments. Instead of seeing your doctor one on one, you would be thrown into a group of patients who are seeing the doctor for roughly the same reason.
There’s nothing quite like the mass mammogram.
This is almost worse than rationing. This a violation of privacy, and almost certainly violates HIPAA, but this administration doesn’t care, because it is, through Executive fiat, trying to tear HIPAA down.
Of course, my wife could explain it better. She’s a nurse.
Patients in a group appointment have to sign an NDA, agreeing not to discuss what is said in the doctor’s office.
Doctor’s trying to escape liability if someone accidentally blabs?
According to the article, you would be able to spend more time with your doctor.
If by more time, you mean waiting for the doctor to get done with everyone else and get to you.
A typical session, according to this article, is two hours.
Of course, I’m sure this hare-brained idea originated with Kaiser.
And they will still charge you the same.
I don’t know if this is a good idea or not, but I for one do not want to see my doctor in what amounts to a public session.
