The Obamacare Disaster: “It’s the Republican’s Fault!”
As has been reported, Obamacare is starting to fall apart just as the government is trying to prepare to get it off the launching pad.
The Federal government is having trouble getting the exchanges implemented. So much trouble that they have delayed the start of the exchanges for a full year.
As people are going to be forced to purchase the mandatory insurance, how much of a revenue windfall from fines is the IRS going to end up with as poor people can’t get the insurance that the government is requiring them to have?
Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius is having trouble getting the monstrosity going.
Twenty thousand pages of regulations, so much that there will be constant violations as no one can memorize all of them.
However, it isn’t Sebelius’ fault, or the fault of Democrats. It’s all the Republican’s fault.
The law isn’t even fully implemented, and the Democrats are already in damage control mode.
Never mind that not a single Republican voted for it. Never mind that the Republicans have been searching for a way to repeal it. None of the Republican governors wanted it.
It’s still their fault for not falling in line and just accepting it. Yes, some Republican governors are turning around and accepting the Medicare expansion provision, but that doesn’t mean they are accepting Obamacare as a a whole. The primary reason for the delay was that the Republicans were hoping for a sweep to gain total control of the government and repeal it.
Even though they are accepting some provisions of it, it is still likely to be an albatross on the necks of Democrats seeking reelection in 2014.
It is so damaging, that Democrats in the Senate are seeking to repeal the medical device tax found hidden within the law. While the effort is mostly symbolic, it exposes politicians as the group of spineless, gutless rats that they are. They are afraid to buck the party line, and can only make symbolic gestures.
Sebelius is complaining that the Republicans are forcing her to fight state by state battles to get this set up. She should be blaming her own party for this. It was they who wrote into the law that if a state refused to set up an exchange, that the Federal government would. The Republicans are just taking you at your word. Shut up, do your job and stop bitching about it already.
As usual, Democrats are seeking to deflect blame from the disaster they created.
How long before the people show up with torches and pitchforks demanding the destruction of Frankenstein’s monster?
