Jake Tapper of CNN is one of the few reporters that I trust and respect. He is a hard nosed reporter who seems to ask the tough questions.

While most of the media seems content with covering fluff, like the Royal baby, Megan Fox being pregnant with her second baby, rifts within the GOP, and of course, the Glee cast member who overdosed on heroin, Tapper released a story that the CIA had dozens of agents on the ground the night of the Benghazi attack, and is bending itself into a pretzel to keep details of what they were doing there secret. Fox News has picked up the story.

There is no mention of it from ABC, CBS, or NBC. Not a friggin’ peep.

How about the New York Times, America’s “Newspaper of Record”?

Not a single word.

The major news media, along with the White House would rather this story go away.

The CIA is now bullying and intimidating its employees into silence, threatening their careers and forcing them to sign non-disclosure agreements (NDAs). Those who were involved in the Libya operation have been subjected to monthly polygraph tests.

The CIA, much like the IRS, is now a rogue agency. The government has run amok under the most corrupt administration in memory, so why should any of this come as a surprise?

The actions of the CIA are at odds with its words.

CIA spokesman Dean Boyd asserted in a statement that the agency has been open with Congress.

“The CIA has worked closely with its oversight committees to provide them with an extraordinary amount of information related to the attack on U.S. facilities in Benghazi,” the statement said.

“CIA employees are always free to speak to Congress if they want,” the statement continued. “The CIA enabled all officers involved in Benghazi the opportunity to meet with Congress. We are not aware of any CIA employee who has experienced retaliation, including any non-routine security procedures, or who has been prevented from sharing a concern with Congress about the Benghazi incident.”

If that’s true, then why are you bullying and intimidating employees to prevent them from talking? Why the frequent polygraphing to discover if someone has been talking to Congress or the media?

That’s right, you are telling the government and the public that none of this is happening, that we should move along because there is nothing to see here.

Are you a government agency, or are you the Mafia, because you are certainly acting like the latter.

Everyone knows that if you cross this administration, there are consequences to be paid. If you are a Tea Party organization applying for tax exempt status, expect delays, and a bevy of questions that are really none of the IRS’s business. Meanwhile, if you are a bogus charity with ties to Obama, expect that to be rushed through.

The Chicago political machine has been transplanted to Washington DC.

In the aftermath of the attack, [US Representative Frank] Wolf said he was contacted by people closely tied with CIA operatives and contractors who wanted to talk.

Then suddenly, there was silence.

“Initially they were not afraid to come forward. They wanted the opportunity, and they wanted to be subpoenaed, because if you’re subpoenaed, it sort of protects you, you’re forced to come before Congress. Now that’s all changed,” said Wolf.

For a long time it was speculated that the CIA was running guns to the Syrian “rebels”.

Do we have evidence they were running guns? No, but this government has run guns to the Mexican drug cartels, so it isn’t that much of a stretch.

It is generally acknowledged that there were weapons in Benghazi, including surface to air missiles, but no one knows what happened to them.

It is also known that there were State Department personnel in Libya, but they claim they were “helping destroy” weapons that were “damaged”, but they could not speak for any other agency.

It begs the question, why is our “diplomatic corps” involved with weaponry at all? Why were they “helping” destroy these weapons?

According to the Telegraph, a London based newspaper, CNN has reported that the CIA was working out of the complex known as “The Annex” to get those missiles to Syrian “rebels”, you know, al-Qaida in disguise. It seems that al-Qaida decided to just come and take the missiles.

It remains clear that getting to the bottom of this is not, nor has ever been, a high priority for this administration. Obama didn’t care. He went to bed. Generals who were ready to move were told to stand down. Most of the people involved has since moved on, and while it doesn’t mean they can’t be called back in front of Congress, it does mean that their involvement will most likely be forgotten. Especially in the case of Hillary Clinton, the most likely Democrat candidate for President in 2016.

Ex-CIA director David Petraeus was slimed and his credibility torn apart as he was forced to resign in the wake of an affair. Clinton ran out as fast as she could, along with Leon Panetta, both of whom couldn’t get out fast enough.

They know the truth. They know what really happened.

“With all due respect, the fact is we had four dead Americans. Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night decided to go kill some Americans? What difference at this point does it make?” Clinton asked the Republican Senator. “It is our job to figure out what happened and do everything we can to prevent it from ever happening again.”

Twice, the government has run weapons to our enemies, and twice, Americans have been killed as a result. What difference does it make whether it was a protest gone violent, or some guys who decided to kill some Americans? With that one sentence, HilClin completely obfuscated what really happened that night.

The correct answer is, of course, that neither of those things happened, and that’s what difference it makes.
