The Obama White House’s State of Denial

NBC News has delivered a report that Obamacare is not having the impact people thought it would, that, in fact, it is hurting people.
Welcome to the party, NBC News. You’re only 3 years late.
There are a lot of small businesses, universities, governments, unions, Congress and corporations that are either trying to get exemptions.
I’m talking about you, Congress, you pack of lowlife scum.
How dare you inflict this upon us, only to whine about how you can’t deal with it?
Businesses, especially those low wage jobs in the food industry are scaling back to worker’s hours to 29 or less so that employers don’t have to comply with Obamacare.
Still think the Democrats care about the workers?
Now, before you start thinking that these business owners are being greedy, don’t forget that many unions have been exempted, along with Congress. Congress is being a bunch of horse’s asses, but what about the unions? Are they being greedy?
There’s a reason that cancer, aids and cockroaches have a higher approval rating than Congress, yet Congress doesn’t seem to care what we think of them.
State and local governments are scaling back. Universities and colleges are cutting adjunct professors, and hours of workers.
Are they all being greedy?
What do we hear from the White House?
Jason Furman, chairman of the president’s Council of Economic Advisors, said, “We are seeing no systematic evidence that the Affordable Care Act is having an adverse impact on job growth or the number of hours employees are working. … [S]ince the ACA became law, nearly 90 percent of the gain in employment has been in full-time positions.”
Hmm. According to the Washington Times, the opposite is true. According to the House Ways and Means Committee, nearly 90% of jobs added since 2009 have been part time work. For myself, I can’t find anything but contract work, which means I work at a job for 3 to 18 months, then I’m out of work again. There are thousands of contract jobs out there.
How can both be true? They can’t.
In fact, when the President goes out and says that he talked to so and so (who is probably made up in the first place) who has cancer, that he can now afford health insurance, THAT’S anecdotal. The stories on their Obamacare Facts page are, in fact, anecdotal.
The White House tells us that we are being lied to by opponents of Obamacare, that the debate is over (but it isn’t), but there is overwhelming evidence that this is hurting people rather than helping them.
Employers have a way to avoid the Obamacare mandate, but the people don’t. The people are still on the hook to get health insurance, and it is going to shock people when it’s time to pay the check, much like Obama supporters were shocked when their taxes went up earlier this year.
If Jason Furman honestly believes the claptrap he and the White House are peddling to the American people, he, and the rest of his council, are a bunch of piss poor economists. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see the economy, while recovering at a very slow pace, is only treading water. It isn’t growing very fast. Inflation is on the rise in the form of food costs and energy, two stats that the Fed likes to “poo-poo”, but the two statistics that impact people the most.
Obama is the type of person who will cut off his nose to spite his face. He can never admit that he may have been wrong, or miscalculated, because that would be a blow to his narcissistic, sociopathic ego.
Instead, he would rather screw the country over than admit that Obamacare may be bad law. Just because it has been ruled constitutional (as a tax) does not make it good or just law. It just makes it constitutionally bad law.
There is an old saying that is very relevant when it comes to the government and Obamacare.
Don’t piss on me and tell me it’s raining.
